A hypnotherapist will work to help you relax and put you into a trance or relaxed state (a state similar to when you are engrossed in a book or film or the state you achieve through meditation).  Once in this state, the hypnotherapist will communicate with your sub-conscious mind to provide help or therapy to help you towards your goals, e.g. – stopping smoking, losing weight, dealing with anxiety etc.

In this hypnotic state you are fully aware and in control. Due to the way your brain is wired, your brain will only accept your hypnotherapists suggestions if it’s something you actually want to do. This means that unless you want to bark like a dog, a hypnotherapist can’t make you bark like a dog.  It also means that unless you actually want to stop smoking a hypnotherapist can’t stop you smoking.  You have got to want change!

Every person and every situation is different, so each client will require their own tailormade programme - usually around 4 sessions on average is a good indication.  You may however, require more or less sessions. For more information, please contact us to discuss.

If you are working to a budget or timescale please let us know before you start hypnotherapy sessions with us and we can let you know whether this is achievable.

Hypnotherapy is suitable for most people. There are some contraindications that may prevent you from using hypnotherapy. When you contact us to book an appointment we will ask you some questions which will help us ascertain whether hypnotherapy will be suitable for you.  It is very important that you answer these questions honestly.

If you would like more information or are ready to book an appointment please either call or email us. Details can be found on the contact page.

You should always look to choose a hypnotherapist that is registered with a professional body such as the General Hypnotherapy Register, which recognises hypnotherapists with the correct level of training and qualifications.
Once you have a list of potential therapists, you should choose one that you feel comfortable with and fits with your way of thinking... trust your gut instinct.

Please contact us and we can discuss with you how many sessions you are likely to need and the cost. We also have reductions for block bookings and packages.

From time to time we also offer group hypnotherapy sessions.  Please keep you eye on our Facebook page for announcements.
